The BookClub Speakeasy (coolest bar ever)

it’s More than a Bar.

BookClub blends 1920s aesthetics with classic literature in a speakeasy-themed bar concept. It offers a relaxed cocktail experience with book-inspired drinks and optional book nights where guests can read and discuss selected titles. The venue creates an intimate, atmospheric setting through vintage-inspired interiors and branding that sparks mystery, curiosity, and nostalgia.

The Challenge

Building the BookClub brand meant mixing 1920s style with modern ease of use. At the same time, the goal was to look historical without feeling like a costume. To achieve this, we designed a clear, connected look across posters, signs, digital content, and merch. Additionally, the bar’s tone had to strike a balance. Too academic felt stiff, while too casual missed the point. In the end, the brand felt immersive but not too much. Furthermore, it had room for changing themes, like monthly drinks or secret book titles. Finally, we pulled colors from the original Great Gatsby cover to tie it all together.
